Cyber Monday

I love this time of year, and I say that mainly because black friday has become overrated to me. I refuse to be out in the crowds standing in the cold lines for hours just to get in the store to fight over something that I could easily get for the same price or better online. I have been browsing the sites all day trying to find some good deals on shoes, makeup, and clothing. I have seen so many good deals this year. What is everyone looking to buy this christmas year?

Bruno was my main reason for watching the awards. I was only interested in watching The Real Housewives of Atlanta last night because BET awards shows are always boring.

Scentsy Candles

I have been intrigued by this company every since i heard about it from a co-worker. I love candles and they have the cutest sets that you can buy that are wickless which makes them safer around kids. College Life

As most of you know i'm working full-time and also attending school online to complete a degree in Medical Coding. Im taking 15 credits for the semester which with all the stresses of work and raising two boys has been fine until recently when i had an issue with one of my teachers. This teacher has been grading everyones work extremely hard to the point where its impossible to get an A on any assignment we do. I sent her an email expressing how i felt about her grading and the class and she refused to address the situation. I'm so done with this class that i don't care what the end grade is anymore.

I know I'm late but i was working that night so who cares? I would have only watched the awards for the cyphers and here they are from that night. I saw the video of Antoine Dodson performing and that was hilarious. I can't even believe that he was invited. BET is a joke.

Back to the basics

So, since I'm trying to get back into the blogging thing, I decided to join a challenge that i found on a site called The Blog Frog. One that caught my attention was from Gigi at Kludgy Mom. One reason I decided to join in was one, I need a kick in the booty to get my blog back started and two, the support that I can get is so valuable. The challenge lasts 6 weeks and this Sunday will kick off week two.

Pirate Nation

At any given game this is what you can expect to see. The first home game of the season for the ECU Pirates was successful with a win of 51-49 against Tulsa. I can say i was in attendance for the first home game of the season that was won by a hail mary.

Now, i didn't actually see the play because the heat was killer out there. We left after the third quarter started and im glad because i think i would have fell out from heat stroke. It took me a few days to recover from feeling so drained that day. I support my pirates but before i go out there in the heat again i'll support them from my air-conditioned apartment.

Holiday season

I am not ready for this Christmas yet. I still have to go with the boys and pick out a tree but that will have to wait until my oldest son gets better, its just a normal cold that's all. I'm enrolled in online school and that has been kicking my butt trying to keep up with all the assignments in addition to working nights still. I need a live-in maid that can also do homework, ha! But anyway, I'll get it together soon and make sure I'm keeping you guys up to date on whats going on with me and my family. Thanks for not leaving me. ;)

Review: Bath and Body Works Foam Burst Body Wash

Not sure when this product was introduced but i stumbled across it during their semi-annual sale. It was only $5 and i was originally in there for the $5 wallflowers. I chose to get sun-ripened raspberry, one of my all-time favorite from this company.

The directions say to dispense a small amount of gel into hand or onto mesh sponge. Once gel has transformed into a soft lather, smooth over body to cleanse. Rinse well. Only a small amount gets you lots of foam. Reminds me a lot of shaving creams. A little goes a long way. The smell is great and when layered with the complimenting lotion it lasts for hours. I suggest you take advantage of this great sale and try these out.

I use this on my face in the mornings when i get home from work and i don't have to worry about dry skin when i wake.

Working at the hospital there is constant hand washing and this lotion makes the hand washing more bearable. I don't have to bring along my scented lotions because this works just fine. I also use the lotion on my feet after getting out of the shower. I can never seem to keep them from being dry with out have tons of baby oil on them until this lotion. Tired

No time for blogging much. with work and upcoming meetings and soccer practice. I need about two clones of me right now. One to work my business and the other to take care of the house. If only things like that could happen.

Struggles

Im struggling with the fact that my boys aren't able to see me at night right now. Im trying to hold my family down but i feel like no one is there for me. Im taking another look at working from home and working hard to make sure that mines and their life are comfortable. Im working with a wellness company and the opportunities with them are great. But it all comes with hard work.

So im reaching into my contacts and seeing who wants to join me in this opportunity. No mother wants to be away from their kids just to be able to provide for them. Working from home is in my near future.

Anyone know how this mobile blogger works?

I have yet to get an appt with the techs at the apple store to get a replacement adapter to my laptop. No internet access until i can get a charge on my computer :( I need feedback from someone that has used the mobile features that can show me the best way to post from my phone. Im using an internet browser from my phone but im not all that excited about going thru all this trouble. Help!

M.I.A. but im back now

Well, to start off i have missed all of you. My followers and guests to my page. I have been so busy with life that i haven't had time to sit down and type anything but here goes

One morning i received a phone call from the daycare about my youngest son Zamari. He had a temp of 101 at the daycare and needed to be picked up. This was strange to me because he acts totally different when he is sick and he wasn't showing any of those signs to me before i dropped him off that morning. So i rushed to the daycare to get him and bring him home to get some medicine. After a few hours had passed it was time for another dose. I got up to get the medicine and get him some juice. I gave him the cup and his body started jerking. He started crying and i immediately picked him up in my arms. I've seen a seizure before but was in denial that this was happening to my baby. I held him tight hoping that he just choked off the juice and would be okay, but he wasn't he started to have another seizure right in my arms. With my education in Medical Assisting i knew he was having a febrile seizure( his fever became too high, too fast) and i placed him on the chair till it was over. I was home alone with him at the time trying to remain calm and talk to the 911 operator. The seizure lasted maybe 2 minutes but it seemed like forever to me. His breathing became real shallow afterwards and i was so relieved to see the fire truck arrive. There was actually men up there that could help him out until the rescue squad arrived. He was taken to the emergency room and kept for a few hours until his fever was under control. He laid on the stretcher in my lap the whole night. He refused to let anyone take him out of my arms. My baby is only 2 yrs old and this happens. I found out from his doctor that he will be more susceptible to these each time he has a fever and also his kids will be too. I never knew till that day that i had the same thing when i was young which is the cause of this happening to him. 

This is him the morning after. The nose just wouldn't stop running. After a few minutes the poptart and lotion were smeared all over my couch. He's getting back to normal when that happens =)

So, im working so many hours at work to get the boys what they want for christmas and a few things i want too. We are moving in to a new building and things are hectic at the moment but im looking forward to the payoff in the end. Promise to post on a regular basis from now on and get the tag request posted soon. Bye!!
